Grand National 2010 Betting

With just hours to go before the Grand National 2010 Big Fella Thanks‘ position at the head of the Grand National Betting looks like it may be under threat as a continued gamble seems to be taking place on David Pipe’s young chaser, The Package.

Both horses are now 10/1 in some places although speedy punters may be able to snap up 13.5 on Betfair about The Package.

2009 Grand National fourth State Of Play and Grand National 2008 runner-up King Johns Castle have also come in for solid support with punters obviously feeling that horses with experience of the Grand National Fences is the way to go.

2009 Becher Chase winner Vic Venturi is one horse who has been on the drift today presumably as a result of losing Grand National jockey Paddy Flood who broke a collar bone in a bad fall today in the Melling Chase from the sadly fatally injured Schindlers Hunt. Trainer Dessie Hughes has opted to replace Flood with Roger Loughran.

Good luck to all our readers and brilliant Grand National Guide blog contributors tomorrow – obviously we can’t all win but let’s hope most of us show a profit and that all the horses (and jockeys!) come back safe and sound.

Thanks a lot

2 horses i fancy , the first is the package , and the second following the last few trends for an outside bet is niche market , it falls into place for an eachway bet

I’ve backed 2 horses that i feel are as close to a trends pick that you can get.I do feel that some of you back to many in the race just so you can say you have got the winner!!Bookies love that because as we know there is only 1 winner and if you back 7 you have 6 losing bets before you start. So for me its win big or try again next year!! If the stats hold up SNOWY MORNING will win and if not ARBOR SUPREME will save the day.GOOD LUCK

Wacky – if you back 7 horses all at bigger than 7/1, you’ve made profit.

Plus of course, the more you back, the more chance you have of getting one placed and turning a profit
