According to PA News:
Snoopy Loopy and Nozic were both withdrawn, moving the weights up by 3lb and leaving Trevor Hemmings’ nine-year-old to shoulder 11st 10lb in the four-and-a-half-mile marathon
Roll Along, King Johns Castle and Character Building were among several other absentees. Others out of the race are Afistfullofdollars, Conna Castle and Tumbling Dice from Ireland, as well as Hobbs Hill, Always Waining, King Harald, Ice Tea and Hot Weld.

He was never going to win as the saying goes weight will stop a freight train ,The Gold cup he won was not of much quality that year and we know the winner according to this website anyway a certain Minster of the Rambling nature. Any stats/trends for any other races for Aintree.I was at Aintree 3 times with lads who went to Cheltenham and they said Aintree wins hands down as regards class of races, people and socialising ,any fancy for the Topham this year anyone ????????????/

The only good thing to come out of that is that the 7 horses that i’d narrowed the field down to is now a 6!
I placed a fairly substantial (by GN terms) e/w bet on War Of Attrition over the weekend, but it’s only today that William Hill has mentioned non runner money back on the race – am slightly concerned that the bet placed on War of Attrition will not be returned.

Sorry to tell you but you’ve lost your money as that was an ante-post bet. Most big firms only go NRNB in the week of the race.
@Muppet: For the Topham personally I like Sa Suffit E/W @16 if he lines up. James Ewart is a really talented trainer on the rise and his horses are really firing at the moment. This one could turn out to be a bit special in my eyes.
